Addressing the challenges faced by traders and economic actors
1404/08/14According to the Public Relations Department of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, the President of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran met and held discussions with a group of Iranian traders and economic actors on the sidelines of the 13th Session of the Iran–Kuwait Joint Trade Cooperation Committee.
During the meeting, Iranian traders raised several concerns, including issues related to ports and customs procedures in Kuwait, as well as challenges at the point of loading in Khorramshahr Port.
Dr. Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi, after listening to and reviewing the concerns of Iranian traders and businesspeople residing in Kuwait, stated:
“These issues were raised within the framework of the Iran–Kuwait Joint Trade Committee and will be followed up in Kuwait through the committee’s resolutions. In addition, matters related to the departure points of vessels will be pursued in Tehran.”
According to the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade, the negotiations held with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and the Customs Administration of Kuwait are expected to resolve many of these challenges for Iranian business operators.
It is noteworthy that among the Iranian business community in Kuwait are importers of dairy and protein products, dried fruits and nuts, fresh produce, and various types of stone and construction materials.
