Iran's high capabilities in the production and export of machine-made carpets, rugs, and flooring.
1404/07/26According to the Public Relations Department of the Iran Trade Promotion Organization, Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi, Deputy Minister and Head of the Iran Trade Promotion Organization, issued a message on the occasion of the 17th International Exhibition of Flooring, Carpets, Machine-Made Carpets, and Related Industries, which is as follows:
“The Iran Trade Promotion Organization, as the authorized body for issuing permits for holding domestic and international events and exhibitions, has seriously prioritized the development and facilitation of non-oil exports by supporting specialized domestic and international exhibitions and organizing international pavilions. Strengthening the presence of foreign companies at domestic exhibitions, as well as Iran’s participation in specialized exhibitions abroad, can be regarded as a pathway to showcase and highlight the export capabilities of Made-in-Iran products.
The exhibition industry plays a significant and influential role in creating economic prosperity, strengthening non-oil exports, increasing industrial value-added, generating employment, and promoting economic growth and development. Enhancing exhibition events and making optimal use of the opportunities they create not only serves broad national interests but also offers numerous opportunities for businesses and enterprises. Studies indicate a positive correlation between the advancement of the exhibition industry and the economic growth and industrial capacity of countries; therefore, strengthening this industry is essential for the development path.
In recent decades, machine-made carpets, rugs, and flooring have become one of the most influential sectors in the country’s textile industry, experiencing significant development by relying on the capabilities of domestic producers. This industry has made remarkable progress in technology and creativity in production, which explains its consistently upward trend in sales and exports.
Currently, a considerable number of machine-made carpet manufacturing units operate in Isfahan, Markazi Province, Mazandaran, Kashan, Aran and Bidgol. Their products, in addition to meeting domestic market needs, are exported to Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, African countries, and others.
Iran’s machine-made carpet, rug, and flooring industry holds significant potential to generate valuable foreign exchange earnings in the non-oil goods sector. Additionally, this industry can be highly effective in creating employment opportunities.
Moreover, Iran’s membership in international trade organizations and the signing of preferential and free trade agreements can open new opportunities for this industry.
One of the key reasons for the presence of major brands at specialized exhibitions is to find key partners in their trade, providing opportunities for B2B marketing and market expansion. In this regard, the 17th International Exhibition of Flooring, Carpets, Machine-Made Carpets, and Related Industries is recognized as one of the largest events in the field, aiming to promote coordination and cooperation among producers from various cities across Iran.
This exhibition offers a valuable opportunity to present products and services to visitors and facilitates direct communication between producers and buyers.”
