Abdolamir Ribahavi, in an interview with the Public Relations Department of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, while congratulating on “Government Week” and “Employee’s Day,” stated: Arab countries are among Iran’s most important trade partners in West Asia. Iraq, as Iran’s second-largest trading partner, has been one of the main importers of various machinery and food production lines from Khorasan Razavi Province.

He also named Qatar as another key trade partner in the Persian Gulf region and added: In coordination with the “General Directorate of Industry, Mining and Trade of Khorasan Razavi Province” and the “Mashhad Chamber of Commerce,” a conference was held to introduce Qatar’s special trade opportunities and to expand trade relations with this country. With the presence of Iran’s commercial attaché in Qatar, executable projects in this country were introduced, and the methods of marketing and entering Qatar’s target markets were presented and explained to private sector entrepreneurs.

Ribahavi emphasized that the purpose of holding such conferences is to support the private sector, producers, and exporters by familiarizing them with target markets and enabling them to benefit from the opportunities and facilities provided by the government in this field. He noted that identifying trade potential and introducing target markets in different countries to business associations and export unions is one of the missions of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran. For this reason, by attending different provinces and organizing a continuous series of conferences, the methods of entering and taking advantage of the economic opportunities of target countries are explained to private sector economic actors.

The Director-General of the West Asia Office of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran also stated that trade relations with Oman are on the rise, citing the strong presence of Omani trade delegations in the “Tehran International Building Industry Exhibition” as one of the signs of strengthening bilateral relations.
