President of Iran Chamber: 90% of Raw Materials for Building Materials Produced Domestically / Export Consortia Require Cultural Foundations

In the margins of the 25th International Building Industry Exhibition, Samad Hassanzadeh, President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the country’s significant capacity in the construction sector, stating that more than 90 percent of raw materials for building materials are produced domestically. This, he added, not only generates foreign currency revenues and employment but also creates substantial added value.

Emphasizing the compliance of Iran’s construction sector with international standards and the potential for exports, Hassanzadeh noted that the Iran Chamber has designed specialized training programs. These courses are aimed at equipping business owners with the knowledge of required documents and standards to facilitate exports to the Eurasian market.

Addressing the concept of export consortia, Hassanzadeh underlined that their establishment requires cultural preparation and an understanding of the philosophy of joint participation in exports. He stressed that by creating such a foundation, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can work alongside larger companies, thereby expanding the country’s export activities.
